A week after the Roaring Lions golf team completed their best ever team finish, sophomore Zack Rockwell made more history for the four year old program. Rockwell fired a 3-over 75 on the par-72 Penn National Founders Course to win the Penn State Mont Alto Tournament, making him the first ever Roaring Lion individual champion.
The Penn State Fayette Roaring Lions golf team continued its record breaking year, finishing second at the Penn State Greater Allegheny Tournament, held September 22 at Butler’s Golf Course, Elizabeth, Pa. The tournament marked the best ever finish for the Roaring Lions, eclipsing the previous best third place finish as hosts of the Red Poling Invitational two weeks earlier.
