Golf Ties for Third at PSU Greater Allegheny
Freshman Shelby Dziak shot an 84 to lead the Roaring Lions to their best finish of the season.

ELIZABETH, Pa. - Freshman Shelby Dziak (Eighty Four, Pa.) shot a career-low 84 at the Penn State Greater Allegheny Invitational on Wednesday, leading the Roaring Lions to a third place team finish. Dziak, the first female golfer in Fayette's history, finished tied for sixth at Butler's Golf Course.
Sophomore Tyler Broadwater (Mill Run, Pa.) shot 90, while senior Shawn Nicholson (Connellsville, Pa.) finished with a 92. Junior Matt Colussy (Hickory, Pa.) rounded out the Roaring Lions' scores with a 103.
Penn State Mont Alto's Ariq Mansur won with a 79, one stroke better than Penn State New Kensington's Cody Dinger. Mont Alto also won the team title at 328, 37 strokes ahead of their nearest competitor, New Kensington (365). Fayette and host Greater Allegheny finished tied at 369.
The PSUAC season will commence with the PSUAC Championships, held in conjunction with the USCAA National Championships, on Monday, Oct. 10 and Tuesday, Oct. 11 at University Park's Blue and White Courses.
