Rain washes out Red Poling Invitational

New season, same story. Rain has forced the postponement of tomorrow's Red Poling Invitational PSUAC golf match at Mystic Rock in Farmington, Pa. The event will now be held on Oct. 3 with an 11:00 a.m. start.

What is left of Tropical Storm Lee has stalled over our area, dumping several inches of rain on the area since Monday with more rain forecasted through Wednesday evening.

"The Red Poling invitational at Mystic Rock is one of the premier events on the PSUAC schedule, and we wanted the players to have the opportunity to play their best golf on a magnificent course, " expained Vince Capozzi, athletic director. "We aso wanted to be fair to the staff at Mystic Rock who have been so good to us over the years."
