Fayette Opens Road Trip with Statement Win
Lions Open Road Trip with Offensive Explosion at Manor
The Penn State Fayette baseball team kicked off its six-game road trip in dominant fashion on March 20, rolling past Manor College 14–3 behind a relentless offensive performance and a complete-game effort on the mound from Remington Lessman.
Fayette wasted little time getting on the board, scoring in each of the first five innings to build steady momentum. The Lions then broke the game wide open with a seven-run sixth inning, turning a competitive contest into a convincing victory.
At the plate, Fayette was firing on all cylinders, tallying 17 hits with contributions throughout the lineup. Connor Perry set the tone at the top, going 2-for-3 with three runs scored and two walks. Frank Macioce added a pair of hits and drove in two runs, while Remington Lessman helped his own cause with a 2-for-5 performance and an RBI.
AJ Segarra, Manny Stitch, Ashton Ray, Lucas Vilchez, and James Knapton each recorded multi-hit games, showcasing the team's depth. Ray led the way with three RBIs, while Knapton and Hunter Smiley each added two RBIs. Extra-base hits came in bunches, including doubles from Lessman, Segarra, Ray, Vilchez, and Knapton, along with a triple from Smiley.
On the mound, Lessman delivered a strong outing, going all six innings while allowing just three runs on six hits. He struck out nine and earned his first win of the season, keeping Manor's offense in check after early scoring opportunities.
Defensively, Fayette was sharp, committing no errors and turning a double play to support their pitcher.
With the win, Penn State Fayette improves to 1-10 on the season and gains momentum heading into the remainder of their road trip, which will include matchups against Bucks County Community College and Central Penn.
