Fayette Falls in Tight Series Finale, 5–3
Penn State Fayette Narrowly Falls to Kent State University at Tuscarawas, 5–3
Penn State Fayette dropped a tightly contested 5–3 decision to Kent State Tuscarawas on March 7, 2026, in the final game of the series.
The game remained close throughout, with both teams trading runs early. Kent State Tuscarawas struck first in the second inning, but Fayette responded in the bottom half, capitalizing on an error to even the score. Fayette then took a 2–1 lead in the fourth inning before the visitors answered with a two-run fifth inning to regain control.
After Kent State Tuscarawas extended the lead in the sixth, Fayette pulled within one in the bottom half as Frank Macioce drove in a run. However, a run in the seventh from the visitors provided enough cushion to hold off the late push.
Fayette totaled six hits in the contest, with Remington Lessman leading the way with a 2-for-3 performance and a run scored. Alex Weber, James Knapton, Ashton Ray, and Frank Macioce each added a hit, while Macioce recorded the lone RBI.
On the mound, Tyler Marra delivered a solid start, allowing just one unearned run over three innings. Lessman took the loss in relief, working four innings and striking out four.
