Peacon and Leonard both have firsts at Bethany College

Bethany,WV- Young Fayette team has new experience at Bethany College Invite.

Fayette Cross Country for the men's side has a young team this season with second year participant Sam Leonard and first year participant Marco Peacon. The Bethany College Invitational this past weekend gave Marco and Sam their first taste of college running with participation in the 8k. This is a major increase for newer cross country athletes due to a 3k increase from high school. 
Head Coach PJ Savini shared his thoughts from the race, "Progressing each week as a team and individuals as both Marco Peacan and Sam Leonard both finish their first 8k collegiate race at the Bethany College Invitational." Cross Country will have one more road trip before the home meet on September 23. Saturday, September 16 the team will travel to the Allegheny Cross Country Classic.
