Grumm Drops 21 as Fayette Pushes DuBois in Road Matchup
Fayette Falls on the Road at DuBois, 73–62
DuBois, Pa. — Penn State Fayette dropped a hard-fought road contest at Penn State DuBois on Tuesday night, falling 73–62 despite several strong individual performances.
The Roaring Lions stayed close throughout the opening half, trailing just 23–21 after the first quarter. Fayette continued to battle in the second quarter, but DuBois was able to create separation heading into halftime with a 42–35 advantage.
Fayette remained competitive in the second half, matching DuBois' physicality and effort on both ends of the floor. Heaven Grumm led the Fayette offense, finishing with a game-high 21 points while knocking down five three-pointers. Savannah Walls added a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds, while also going 5-for-6 from the free-throw line.
Geelece Ingram contributed across the stat sheet with eight points, six assists, three steals, and a block, while Reagan Rudder chipped in 10 points and Za'layah Edwards provided a spark off the bench.
Despite strong rebounding efforts and solid free-throw shooting (9-of-10), Fayette struggled from the field, shooting 31.5 percent on the night. DuBois capitalized with efficient scoring inside and timely perimeter shooting to maintain control down the stretch.
