Opening PSUAC play win
Match Report: Penn State Fayette 70, Penn State Greater Allegheny 36
November 18, 2025 – Lemont Furnace, PA
Penn State Fayette delivered one of its most complete performances of the season on Tuesday night, powering past Penn State Greater Allegheny (PSUGA) with a dominant 70–36 victory at the Community Center. Fayette's balanced scoring attack, disruptive defense, and interior presence proved too much for Greater Allegheny, which struggled to find rhythm offensively.
First Half
The opening quarter set the tone for the evening as Fayette's ball movement and composure steadily created separation. Reagan Rudder and Heaven Grumm provided early sparks, combining efficient mid-range scoring with strong drives to the basket. Meanwhile, Greater Allegheny couldn't convert from the perimeter, going 0-for-9 from three in the first half.
By halftime, Fayette had built a steady advantage behind its defensive discipline and efficient shooting—particularly from Rudder, who was nearly unstoppable throughout the night.
Second Half
Fayette continued to pull away after the break. Their defensive pressure forced PSUGA into 34 turnovers, often leading to transition opportunities. Geelece Ingram and Takiah Cheathon orchestrated the offense with poise, combining for 11 assists, while the Lions' defense swarmed passing lanes for 23 steals.
Greater Allegheny found moments of production through the trio of Keliyah Payne, Tiana Thompson, and Peyton Smith, who each finished with 12 points. Smith controlled the glass with an impressive 14 rebounds, but the Lions' offense never fully clicked, finishing at 29.4% from the field.
