Penn State Fayette delivered a strong all-around performance Saturday afternoon, pulling away in the second half for an 87–70 victory over Penn State Beaver at the Community Center in Lemont Furnace.
The Lions set the tone early, building a 42–29 halftime advantage behind efficient shooting and strong defensive effort. Fayette continued to apply pressure after the break, outscoring Beaver 45–41 in the second half to secure the home win and improve to 6–4 in PSUAC play.
John Osuji led Fayette with a dominant inside performance, finishing with 17 points and 10 rebounds for a double-double. Landon Percinsky added 14 points on 6-of-11 shooting, while Noah Payne chipped in 13 points off the bench.
Kamau Mitchell knocked down three three-pointers on his way to 11 points, and DeAndre Brown Jr. contributed 12 points, four assists, and three steals, impacting the game on both ends of the floor. Jaylen Judge filled the stat sheet with seven points, eight rebounds, and five assists.
Fayette shot 47.6 percent from the field and held a decisive 40–33 advantage on the glass. The Lions were also sharp at the free-throw line, converting 19 of 22 attempts.
Penn State Beaver was led by Jermaine Knaff and Trevor Franklin, who scored 15 points apiece, but Fayette's depth and interior presence proved too much to overcome.
Penn State Fayette will look to build on the home momentum as conference play continues.
