Brown Jr. Leads Fayette to Thrilling One-Point Win at Shenango

Penn State Fayette survived a dramatic road test Saturday afternoon, edging Penn State Shenango 88–87 at the Buhl Club to improve to 8–8 overall and 8–4 in PSUAC play.
The Lions built a narrow 36–33 halftime lead before both teams erupted offensively in the second half. Fayette poured in 52 points after the break and executed down the stretch to hold off a late Shenango push.
DeAndre Brown Jr. delivered a standout performance, leading all scorers with 24 points on an efficient 9-of-14 shooting, including three three-pointers. Kamau Mitchell added 16 points, while Noah Payne came off the bench to spark Fayette with 19 points, four assists, and timely perimeter shooting.
Jaylen Judge filled the stat sheet with nine points, five rebounds, and five assists, while John Osuji provided a strong presence inside with 10 rebounds and seven points.
Shenango kept pressure on Fayette throughout the second half, led by Kevon Washington's 25 points and Izzy Santiago's 23. Aidan Slocum added 24 points off the bench, helping the Wildcats outscore Fayette 54–52 in the final period.
Fayette's efficiency at the free-throw line proved decisive, as the Lions converted 14 of 15 attempts (93.3 percent), including clutch makes in the closing moments to seal the victory.
Penn State Fayette will look to carry the momentum forward as PSUAC play continues.
