Second-Half Surge Lifts Penn State Fayette Past Greater Allegheny
Penn State Fayette used a strong second-half performance to secure a 65–56 road victory over Penn State Greater Allegheny on Tuesday night at Wunderly Gym.
Trailing 36–28 at halftime, the Lions responded with a dominant defensive effort in the second half, holding Greater Allegheny to just 20 points while outscoring the hosts 37–20 after the break.
Landon Percinsky led Fayette with 15 points, shooting 5-of-9 from the field and knocking down four free throws. Noah Payne provided a spark off the bench, adding 15 points and six rebounds, including a perfect 4-for-4 performance at the free-throw line.
Jahiem Hinton turned in an efficient all-around effort, finishing with nine points, eight rebounds, three assists, and two steals, while Jaylen Judge contributed nine points, eight rebounds, and four assists.
Penn State Fayette shot 42.9 percent from the field and controlled the glass, outrebounding Greater Allegheny 36–30. The Lions also capitalized at the free-throw line, converting 12-of-17 attempts, helping seal the win down the stretch.
Biagio Crossley paced Greater Allegheny with a game-high 19 points, while Elijah Hannon added 15 points and 13 rebounds in the loss.
With the victory, Penn State Fayette improved to 9–8 overall and 9–4 in conference play.
