Fayette Drops Overtime Shootout at DuBois, 103–97
DuBois, Pa. — Penn State Fayette came up just short in a high-scoring road battle, falling 103–97 in overtime to Penn State DuBois on Tuesday night.
The Roaring Lions controlled much of the first half, building a 42–34 lead behind an explosive offensive effort. Fayette shot over 50 percent from the field in the opening half and knocked down eight three-pointers, with DeAndre Brown Jr. and Noah Payne leading the charge.
DuBois responded after the break, outscoring Fayette 50–42 in the second half to force overtime. Despite Fayette's continued efficiency from beyond the arc, DuBois capitalized on key possessions late in regulation to send the game to the extra period tied at 84.
In overtime, the hosts pulled away by scoring 19 points while limiting Fayette to 13, sealing the win at the free-throw line.
Brown Jr. delivered a standout performance, pouring in a game-high 34 points while going a perfect 5-for-5 from three-point range and 7-for-8 at the line. Payne added 23 points, six assists, and six rebounds, while Landon Percinsky chipped in 12 points and four steals. Jaylen Judge rounded out the balanced scoring with 10 points, five rebounds, and three assists.
Fayette finished the night shooting 51.4 percent from the field and an impressive 50 percent from three-point range (16-of-32), but DuBois countered with timely shooting of its own and a strong performance at the foul line in overtime.
