Fayette Falls in High-Scoring Road Battle at Scranton
SCRANTON, Pa. — November 21, 2025 – In a fast-paced and high-scoring matchup on Friday night, the Penn State Fayette men's basketball team came up just short on the road, falling 95–92 to Penn State Scranton in a tight PSUAC showdown.
Fayette put together one of its strongest offensive performances of the season, shooting 49.3% from the field and knocking down 11 three-pointers, but Scranton's efficiency at the free-throw line (30-for-42) ultimately made the difference in the narrow defeat.
Jesse Lawson Jr. continued his strong early-season form, leading Fayette with 18 points, six rebounds, and three steals while going a perfect 4-for-4 from the line. Landon Percinsky added 15 points on an efficient 5-of-9 shooting, while Noah Payne posted a double-double, finishing with nine points and a game-high 12 rebounds to go with three assists.
The Fayette bench delivered major contributions as well. Josiah McKoy scored 10 points in 10 minutes, hitting two threes, and Kamau Mitchell added 13 points, including three shots from beyond the arc. DeAndre Brown Jr. chipped in eight points, five assists, and a steal.
Scranton was powered by a standout 32-point outing from Elijah Bryant, while Jaiden Wiggins added 21 points and Fhenyx Scutt contributed 15. Scranton capitalized at the free-throw line and held on despite Fayette's late surge.
