Fayette Outlasts Penn State Greater Allegheny in Non-Conference Thriller
LEMONT FURNACE, Pa. — November 18, 2025 – In front of a lively home crowd at the Community Center, the Penn State Fayette men's basketball team earned a hard-fought 78–75 non-conference victory over Penn State Greater Allegheny on Tuesday night.
Fayette showcased a balanced offensive attack, led by Jesse Lawson Jr., who turned in a standout performance with 25 points on 10-of-16 shooting, including five three-pointers. Lawson Jr. was efficient and steady throughout the night, keeping the Roaring Lions' offense in rhythm.
Off the bench, DeAndre Brown Jr. delivered a huge spark, recording a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds, while also adding five assists. Noah Payne contributed eight points, three rebounds, and three assists, knocking down two shots from deep.
Fayette's perimeter shooting proved to be a difference-maker, as the team hit 10 three-pointers and shot an impressive 41.7% from beyond the arc. At the free-throw line, they were nearly perfect, converting 12 of 13 attempts (92.3%).
Greater Allegheny was paced by Biagio Crossley, who posted a monster stat line of 27 points and 12 rebounds, while Elijah Hannon added another 12-point, 12-rebound double-double. Despite GA's strong push, Fayette's defensive poise in the final minutes secured the win.
