Latrobe, Pa - The Penn State Fayette Men's basketball team dropped a non-conference game at St. Vincent Monday, 79-55.
London Hoxie (Menifee, CA/Paloma HS) hit a three-pointer to give the Nittany Lions a 3-0 lead, but the hosts took control of the game with a 16-0 run and took a 39-20 lead into halftime.
Hoxie finished with a double-double as he scored 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds while Marvin Sidon (Lahaina, HI/Lahainaluna HS) also hit double figures with 10 points.
Salim Wyche (Bel Air, MD/East Stroudsburg HS) also had 10 rebounds for Fayette.
The Nittany Lions finished 17-53 from the floor (32%) but only made six of 24 three-point attempts (25%).
Fayette made 15 of 17 free throws (88%).
St. Vincent was able to limit Fayette's transition game as it limited the Nittany Lions to two points in transition and the team also only had six second chance points.
Fayette opens PSUAC conference play on Friday, November 30 when it heads to PSU Wilkes Barre.
