LH product McLay joins PS-Fayette baseball

Lemont Furnace, Pa - Alec McLay has committed to furthering his academic and athletic career at Penn State Fayette. McLay, a local product, reins from Uniontown, PA and attended Laurel Highlands High School. During his time as a Mustang, Alec earned an All-County award and was an all-star game starter for his legion baseball team.

McLay will provide the Nittany Lions with depth and versatility. The Penn State Fayette coaching staff describes him as a player that can play any position on the field. With his versatility, he will be a great fit for the program and will make it much easier for him to see substantial play time throughout the season.

Although his major is undecided, McLay has an interest in nursing. McLay credits his family for what motivates and pushes him to do his best. Alec has many influential people in his life as well. He expresses gratitude for his parents, grandparents, and coaches in always being there for him as his greatest supporters. McLay is most looking forward to getting a great education and continuing his athletic career here at Penn State Fayette.
