Dodgertown Welcomes Roaring Lions
Vero Beach, FL - Roaring Lions Baseball kick off their season with spring training at the Historic Dodgertown Stadium Complex
The Penn State Fayette Roaring Lions Baseball team landed in West Palms, FL Sunday morning where they hope to make some major strides in preparing for the 2015 season. As the team settled in at the Historic Dodgertown Baseball Complex, where so many marquee and legendary baseball figures have graced the grounds, an overwhelming feeling of nostalgia took presence.
As so many teams before them, the Roaring Lions arrived with a fresh mindset and a new game plan to get the program back on track to the success they had been so familiar with in the past. With strong competition ahead, Head Coach Ray Smitley exclaimed, "We have a fresh squad with new talent, poised to turn some heads this year."
A 2014 season that ended prematurely due to injuries, the Roaring Lions recruiting staff worked diligently in the off season to add promising talent to a 2015 roster lead by captains Connor McKeel, Mike Haines, and Seth Krall. Newcomers, Jimmy Amarosa, Kody Thomas, Matt Nolan, and Grant Wortman will all add speed, consistency, and power to the lineup.
The Roaring Lions will see competition with many strong baseball programs in there time at Dodgertown.

-Tuesday, March 10th vs. Rochester College at 4:00 pm
-Thursday, March 12th vs. Rock Valley College at 4:00pm
-Friday, March 13th vs. Norwich University at 1:00 pm & 4:00 pm
